I struggle to believe more people on z4-forum like the X6 than don't like it. Come on folk, we own Z4s, I thought we had some taste!

Obviously I'm in the minority - I think it's fugly and pointless. If you want a sports car, buy a sports car. If you need a 4x4, buy a proper one.

The X6 will probably be my next purchase when I bored with sports cars. I think now I would buy one over an M3 to be honest!

Some say that about the Z4!

Tell you one thing, I bet if I owned an X6 at the moment I could use it! I can't even get my Z4 off my drive, never mind back onto it if I did!

I always hated the idea of 4x4, esp ones that actually cant go off road!

But as I got older and work commitments became stronger, I'm warming to the idea - need something that will give me good view around corners (i.e. high driving position), can take on wet/icy/snowy roads, and likely to win if it decides to play sumo with another car.

I think BMW brought out the 5 series GT so people would stop calling the X6 ugly and start throwing stones at the GT. They look related to me, somewhere at the bottom of the gene pool next to the Pontiac Aztec, now that was UGLY !!!!!

AS for the earlier posts about beng off topic, I thought that "Other Marques" referred to other "Makers" not other models. ??????? What is it?

Now this is probably a bit controversial on here, but if my dealer had got an X6 in my price range when I was looking to change, I would have probably been in it now rather than the new Z4!
Still keeping an eye on the dealer's stock now!
