I have an 06 with LED's, so dont know what the "half" that doesnt light up is for.
Assuming it the fog lights though, surely it would mean that when your fog lights are on your brake lights will be also?

I imagine the new ones operate completely differently... I"think" the fog light is in the smaller section on the pre-05's so I don't actually know what it is for... will have to wait for Dr SapphireZ to let us know

it maybe the other light does nothing, but that is doubtful, and effectively you are shorting a circuit, so when ever the other light is switch on the brakelight will also be.
Just want to make sure we all stay legal (would need a speed restricter also )

It's called turning the sport button "off"srhutch wrote:(would need a speed restricter also )
.. or in my case it requires turning the stereo down also, for some reason it has a direct corrolation to the speed of travel!

the radio thing must be a common fault on BMW's had it on all three
only wish you could have sport button programmed to stay on, it's the first thing I press after starting the engine.

If you mean the red connectors - they never cut the wires, they just clip onto them.

so there is no cutting, just joining the 1st and 4th wire together in that connector and that's it ?!!
