Retrofit extended lights

Post by birdy_z4 » Sun Apr 21, 2024 4:06 pm

I’ve been following this thread and have everything done

viewtopic.php?t=138025

It says to use pin 35 on x14260 footwell module, the being the left one as you look at it under the steering wheel

Mine though already has a pin 35 fitted

Anyone done this and is x14260 socket as said the left one?

https://www.bmwgm5.com/Footwell_Module_Connections.htm

Appreciate the help

It's the right side plug coupler for RHD and the left is shown in diagrams for LHD.
Photo taken from when I did mine

EDIT** In the photo I've twisted it round 180° to show where the new wiring was

I honestly can't remember whether I checked it before I coded it, but the VO code for it is 563, which will need coding to the CAS and NFRM

Have you done the door handles ?
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Thanks had the external handles off before and did contemplate doing it now and will revisit. Got an arm op next week which will stop the tinkering for a couple of months so out of time
