Absolutely, I sold my Z4M for a 911-50th and the difference is huge between the cars (Porsche and BMW). You can’t go wrong with them, especially in a manual guise (I trust you will go manual ).
As you can see through Porsche history, the manual cars are the ones that increase the most. After 10 years this year, I am still about 30-40 up compared to what I paid for it new.

I had a very close shave a few years ago Byron. My wife was told survival rate was 4%. It certainly changed our outlook on life. We still consider big decisions carefully but if either of us really wants something. Then providing we can afford it we go ahead. For me, like you every day is a bonus. I’m in agreement with everyone else. Go for it.

I probably like it because it’s the opposite of shy, retiring, quiet meBeedub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:59 ami really like the ruby star colour. wonder if the colour may harm resale value? im surprised you like this colour buddy!!Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:50 am You know you gotta do it bud, onwards and upwards, sign the finance agreement and enjoy
As discussed, got to be the Ruby
A car like that has to be loud and standoutish, that colour certainly is. I also liked the blue, very much like Misano
Resale, going to be one of those things, rarer, louder colours you always take a punt on, but someone will be looking for one that colour and spec if you’re looking to shift it on down the line.
Anyway, go for it and whatever you decide, health and happiness to enjoy it
G29 M40i Thundernight with Ivory interior, all option packs (here for a while, hopefully )
G29 M40i Misano Blue all option packs (Gone 26k of fun)
E89 35iS, Valencia Orange, Design Pure Traction pack (Gone)
E89 23i sDrive, Silver (Gone)

As far as cars go, I can’t think of a better recipe than a GT4RS. If you can, you should
Have you considered a Boxster Sypder RS or whatever it’s called? I always miss a roadster when I get rid of one, so it’s worth weighing up how much importance you place on having a roof that comes down. Doesn’t look as cool with the roof up as the Cayman though.
Either way, do it!

So I've just got back from viewing this car...... Couple of things concerned me , it's on SOR. Its owned by the MD of a supercar rental lease place which instantly to me was a hell no. Apparently its his personal car but I'm not sure I'd even want to take the risk.
I wasn't blown away with the colour in the metal. I think the ruby star is the colour for me. Didn't get to drive the car , but the prep wasn't great it's very dirty .
The dash board feels as dated as the z4 and the seating position felt very familiar to my z4m with it's carbon tillets , abit lower in my car. I'm looking forward to driving one in anger.
Visually this thing is stunning , it's just looks / feels special. The OPC thinks these will loose another 15k from where it is now. Then will shoot back up in a few years.
The search for the car begins .... Also I need a vat qualifying car

My stomach went down when you mentioned the current owner and their line of business - a big no no. It will be good to hear your thoughts on the ruby star.Beedub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 3:48 pm So I've just got back from viewing this car...... Couple of things concerned me , it's on SOR. Ruby Star Byron, will make you smile when you first put your Rupes polisher on the wing and that smile will never, ever fade. I don't think that you are the kind of guy who buys a car and is thinking about getting something that will be a good seller. You have a stand-out business and you want a stand-out car. I am really pleased that you are excited about this and your mind will be in turmoil for a while, then you will make the decision. Go for it and enjoy it. Remember, you deserve it. Just in case you forgot what it looked like.

Love it in ruby star, exceptional colour! Kinda reminds me of Rubystone red they did for the 964 RS - just lovely.
