On eBay there's a Z4 that needs a bit of work. Anyone brave or mad enough to take it on?

I went to see it yesterday. A really genuine bloke. He has a 30s style open tourer with a boat tail, built from scratch himself with a spaceframe chassis and 325i running gear. All the body is polished aluminium, hand built on an English wheel by his own hand.
He also has several bikes and was in the process of fitting a completely rebuilt Bonneville engine into a Ducati frame.
His idea was to build a 60s Le Mans replica, from scratch, using the Z4 as a base, but a bodged hip op and prostate issues have convinced him to stop.
I can vouch for the fact that every single nut and bolt is there.
It would be a huge ask to put it all back together and with the quality of the interior its probably worth more in parts.
I was tempted but not a job for the open air and a gravel drive!
His daily is a 35i.

The 30s style boat tail sounds amazing. Any pictures?

Given how few manual E85 3.0Sis there are I really hope someone is willing and able to save it.

That's great news, whoever bought it!

I wonder if it might be heading to Spa?

Seems a strange coincidence that Stew-pot is asking for a wheel swap for some 294s on an 'inbound project'. Those wheels on the E85 look suspiciously like 294s to me.
