Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice. Z4 89 I currently have heated electric seats in my vehicle, I’m looking to change them to red leather.I have found a set which are heated but mechanical adjustment, can I simply swap my electric adjustment seat bases onto the nonelectric set. Or is there some differences that won’t allow me to do this?

Thanks very much

Hi, welcome to the forum, I think you change the bases over. Someone more knowledgeable will be along soon though.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

This was done recently the other way around. Have a look at the thread linked. bigwinn did the work so may be able to shed some light on potential problems.
