Is DIY maintenance practical?

My 2 pence worth as a new M Roadster owner is echoing everything I read above. I looked at 5 cars in total over about 9 months before buying my car. They are very special cars to drive and because of that don’t get too besotted without doing due diligence on the car. The engine is all encompassing and dominates all the time but I did see a couple with bodywork that was not up to what I expected.
You have already decided on an M and it’s the right choice. I have a 3.0si Coupe and now the M Roadster, they really don’t compare. Both great cars but the M is better everywhere and has that mighty S54.
My word of warning is that if you test drive one, you will buy one. Enjoy the search.
