108 Alloys

Post by Pabz » Thu Mar 07, 2024 12:43 pm

I have for sale a set of staggered 108 alloy wheels which came off of a car that I have now sold.

They are in pretty good condition but one does have some marking due to a poor tyre fitter (first image).
I believe the previous owner has had them refurbed in the past. They are straight, not cracked or welded.

Asking £200 collected from CH63 postcode (Wirral). If I had to, I could courier them to addresses in the UK at the buyers expense.

There is a Facebook group for BMW 120 Wheels buy and sell. You could place an add there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1538352996386782

I seem to recall similar issues where the post date time would display on some devices but not others. I stumbled across a postdetailing how to resolve, unfortunately I can't find it ( to many matches when I search ).
From memory if you go to board settings in user profile, there are 3 settings for date time "My timezone" and "My date format" all 3 fields need to be supplied.

Suspect if not supplied they pick defaults if available from the operating system profile, which would explain it working on some devices and not others.

Update, just found it, see

Going down the road of 108 wheels is an expensive business. Assuming all the bolts can be removed easily, five of mine were seized, and the cost for reconditioning is around £100 per wheel. Add on the price of tyres, £500, and the total price is over £1000

Ye I hear you, but they do look good when they look good! I like how they are specific to the Z's as well.
If I can pick up a set for sensible money its not the end of the world - my 135's need a refurb anyway and all new tyres.
