There are several e89's on eBay for sale at incredibly low prices. So low that it's suspicious.
Let me know what you think. The dealer has been on eBay apparently since Aug 2023 but has had No Feedback at all. One is £4200

Motorway value the yellow car at over 8k yet the dealer has it on eBay for 5.4k
Does that not look dodgy to you?

Cheers B21 for the auto trader link

It was either going to be a scam or e89 prices had dropped like a stone overnight as some fatal engine flaw had been discovered and I hadn't heard yet!!.

If you look on the “other items for sale” link, there are generally a plethora of other niche/collectible/premium cars for sale at bargain prices. You can also check the “registered business seller” and see if the company exists on the companies house register. Generally, all these too-good-to-true opportunities are scams. Steer clear.

It's a scam.
Someone has taken 'MST Motors Ltd' name and are pretending to be them. The addresses are different. Then they clone other old adverts from eBay (if you notice all cars are in different locations).
I took a few of the cars listed and checked the last V5 change date. They are all less than three months. So all sold recently.

If you contact the advertiser they will want a deposit to hold the vehicle (and won't be available if you want to view). The £100, £250 or whatever will be gone.

They only need one deposit per advert before it's pulled, as the advert cloning is limitless.

eBay (and moreso Facebook marketplace) really should stop this kind of scam. It should not be difficult for them to do.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

I drove 300 miles (each way) last week to see a car that was advertised on eBay so I'm glad it actually existed and the dealer was real.

I know a bit about these scams as I have a friend who is constantly looking to buy a new car and is a sucker for a bargain. I have seen loads of these. Luckily, generally the scammers are not particularly clever so are quite easy to spot (unless you get blinkered by the bargain).

They are getting a little more sophisticated every week, so beware!
