I really couldn’t believe the difference it was like two different cars, it really reminded me of driving the 430d, whereas the 30i was like the 128ti, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised as the 30 is basically the same engine and the 40 is a six.
Good to hear your wife was keen, that's probably the biggest hurdle out of the way there :-) I hope you do get an M40i. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I'm looking forward to racking up another 400 miles in mine next weekend.

Oh the power of internet forums;
I saw you were on the Z3 forum enquiring about £3,000 cars just a short time ago....now looking to buy a £35,000 Z4! :D :D

Don't, whatever you do, sign up to any of the Porsche forums... :thumbsup: :)

The B58 is a really good engine, though! :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Pondrew, your dead right , that has been brought up a few times in my house, but I’ve just been listening to all you good folk on here, What started out as a little toy car as my wife called it has turned out to be a lot more potentially.
I have justified it with the view of selling one of my bikes and the 430d, so sacrifices will be made :rofl:

50 yrs ago that was probably true in the US but do we really want to live with 10 mpg fuel consumption

Yeah, meaner than a junk yard dog :rofl:
