Selling my treasured Highline Edition Z4 due to having a little one on the way!

White exterior with red leather interior
BMW supplied upgraded 19 inch alloy wheels with run flat tyres
Personalised plate, in case you are named/know anyone called Kat!
84,500 miles
Full service history, including a recent service
2 keys
Heated seats
Air conditioning
Front and rear parking sensors
Taxed and MOT'd until February
Recently replaced RHS rear light cluster
Minor curbing on alloys
General weathering in areas, paintwork in good condition with no obvious scratches
One of the two parcel shelf brackets is damaged, came as purchased and has not effected functionality - to repair requires an entire replacement of the parcel shelf (cheers BMW...) so I haven't found the need to change it
LHS rear cluster indicator has a couple of LED bulbs gone however does not effect functionality nor MOT status

Asking price - £9,000 - updated based on current market and similar models up for private sale.

FWIW I have a white/red 3.0 auto msport high line that is unmarked throughout with full bmw history and I drive and all whistles except folding mirrors and 25000 miles. I would value mine at £12500.

TBH you can value your car at whatever you like but the market will decide how much it is really worth.

Pondrew - I am fully aware of that thank you and was merely providing another datum for the OP rather than the normal “that’s far too much mate”. i have no intention of selling as the amount of 3.0s with that mileage and provenance are now extremely rare. So in broad terms I could name any price but I would need a new owner prepared to pay it. Indeed I did just that recently paying more than the market says is correct for a car that was in very good order and low miles because I thought it was worth the extra. When I bought my Honda nsx secondhand in 2005 it was in direct swap with a 2002 z3mc which hexagon had valued at £32000. That was more than I could have paid but I thought a perfect 7000 miles car was worth the extra. Now it’s worth six figures. The e89 will never do that because other than the looks it will always be a so-so car (sorry guys but I love the e89 also) but there are always outlier values.

The spread on prices as much discussed is nearly 2:1..

A similar spec to yours with 45k miles, that the owner put it up here for £11k sold for £8k..

If you are not selling then you can value your car as high as you feel you want to..

Most responders to posts from people who have just signed up here to post for a sale item are likely to get a more critical assessment than maybe elsewhere…

Etiquette suggests that people who have no interest in buying should not diss the buyers sale item…but…if the price seems high then maybe constructive feedback is helpful?

I agree but etiquette also dictates that one should introduce oneself at least before diving straight in for a free for sale advert. This isn't that type of forum, so when someone pitches up with an overpriced car (which this one undoubtedly is), it is fair game IMO.

I know I'm not the only one with this opinion.

Having said the above I hope the OP does get what he wants for it. So GLWTS. :)

Yes I always think it's a bit of a cheek to just join to sell but times are hard and you need to advertise everywhere.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Its a difficult time to sell a 2 seater convertible coming into the winter, despite the fact these are perfectly useable as an an all year round car.
Am looking to change mine in the spring, but if it gives you a guide, its a 30i manual, that i would consider to be in very good condition, and i will be happy to get £8000 for it.
The difficult part is finding the right buyer who understands the benefit of buying one of these thats had all the weak points addressed.
Your average punter that is not familiar with this model, tends to buy on mileage and condition, which unfortunately is not always the right approach.
I would favour buying from an enthusiast who has owned the car for a while, and addressed all the known issues.
E89 s drive 30i manual/gone
space grey
Carbon interior trim
19" Veeman FS 25`s

m sport seats

OEM wind deflector
Gone, E85 Ruby Black.

IMO that seems a bit low for a 30i.
