If you like BMWs, then an Alpina is BMW +

I don't know how Alpina do (did) it, but they make an ordinary BMW into something very special. Much more than the sum of their parts.
Alpinas are (were) the 'mature M' version of whichever model it is IMO.

It isn't often anyone suggests I'm immature at my age, so I'll take that as a compliment!

Although I always think of Alpinas as the "lazy M" alternative - apart from the Z4 they are nearly all Autos.

Couldn’t agree more, this car felt very special, quite different to an M but being 130KG lighter… just as quick in the real world, but more civilised

It’s a one off Alpina Roadster colour called ‘Alpina Blue’…” Alpinablau II Metallic (A46) “ I love it, only 15 Alpina Roadsters in this colour in the UK apparently and doesn’t appear on any non-Alpina Zeds. Exclusive little club

Forgot to say, Mrs not going to be insured on this one. Hence doesn’t need to be auto

Congratulations True-Blue.

It's great to see an Alpina in a distinctive colour too. Apart from Perry Gunn's Red one I've only ever seen them in Black (2 at the National) or Silver (3 at Zedfest).
