Edit: Fol sale again now life has calmed down.

Will add more info & pics later and more than happy to have a proper chat and answer any questions.

After a couple of years and thousands in preventative and actual maintenance, it's time to move on 'Greta'

This is a forum car that originally belonged to Ronk, before he sold to his friend that I then bought it from. Ronk bought approved used from Dick Lovett (still on original plates) and I think I'm the fifth owner.

Key bits:
101k
108 wheels (in 7/10 condition)
Vredstein Ultrac Conti on all 4 corners
Sat nav
Carver DSP 10 speaker stereo
Cruise control
Power folding & photochromatic side mirrors
Photochromatic rear view mirror
Cup holders :)
Factory wind deflector & boot storage
PDC (one sensor a bit temperamental).
Heated leather & electric seats
Aftermarket Bluetooth (professional install)
Xenon headlights
Automatic headlights
Automatic wipers
ZHP weighted gearnob
Headlight washers
Original medical bag & toolkit
Storage pack

I'll say it's partial service history, but think that's a paperwork issue rather than missing services. Stamps in book, then a gap which is mostly covered by accompanying paperwork and then stamped again when I bought it.

In my time I've had:

Inspection II with plugs, filters etc.
Rocker gasket, oil filter housing gasket, sump gasket replacement.
Vanos rebuild with new seals etc.
Disa replacement
Cooling system refresh with new radiator & mahle expansion tank.
New front discs & pads (and new caliper).
New varta battery
New spring
2 extra aftermarket flicky keys - barely used.
Machine polish

All work has been done by BN Works Leeds, Cars Drighlington or ZED Shed Warrington.

Usually filled with non-supermarket fuel and washed by me, carefully!

There is an abundance of paperwork, bills, original brochures etc and even the factory build certification.

The bad bits, although that's not being fair, is the PDC sensor and there is a stone chip on bonnet and a pea-sized area of lacquer peel near it. That is a reason I had the machine polish, to stop it getting any worse before venturing on sorting - which I've never actually done as so minor. The bodywork is definitely a 9/10. One of the original keys needs a new battery as it's not opening remotely, but does still talk to the immobiliser.

Before I bought it the car spent its life in the south of France - this explains the gap in MOT history.

I have probably missed out a load of info, but happy to chat anything through or accommodate any inspections.

Location is Leeds and asking price is £4,250.

All pictures were taken in last 12 months, and happy to take any more on request, or video walk around etc.

I drove many happy miles in that car - I only sold it as I needed to go Auto!

The photographs say that it’s been well cared for in subsequent ownership.

Hi. Is the car still for sale? If so a couple of photos of the lacquer peel and the interior would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just out of interest, have you tried re-synching the keys?
I had exactly the same issue: thought it was a dead battery but tried a re-synch of both keys and they both now work!

Thanks very much enuff_zed for the suggestion - I’ll try that!

Thanks for all the other comments & interest, but the car is no longer for sale.

When I got mine I had to do the same. Some funny sequence within a certain time and with the door closed

Hopefully that'll work for you.

If you use the little pencil icon in the top right corner of your post you can edit the title to 'Sold'. Even if it's not it will stop people asking about it.

Ahh, that adds up even more because this key suddenly just died after some work in a garage. Everyone was a bit baffled! Thanks both.

OP here

Time to finally call it a day. I've agreed to move in with the missus - and we have 4 cars between us. Plus she's just been made redundant and she wants to keep her Z4 (TBF hers came first) so I'm going to lose a terrifying amount of money and sell mine.

Since the initial advert in August '23 for £4250 (which it sold for to first viewing) it's also had:

Two new Vresdstein Ultrax Vorti+ on the rears - (£300)
New rear brake lines (custom made, not the OEM) & Gaptech module fitted (£350)
New OEM air intake pipe something (as it had a hole in) (£160)
OEM Eyelet bushes for front control arms plus OEM control arm. (£500)
New OEM third brake light (a £90 BMW job, not a £20 ebay one)
An oil service and brake fluid change (£190 - ouch) - The Inspection II was done last year.
And it's just had a recon steering column fitted (£500).
And a new MOT.
And an extra thousand miles on it.

Again, all work done by BN Works, Leeds or Zed Shed, Warrington. Nearly £2,000 in just over 6 months. It hurts just typing it out.

And for all that I'd like an extra - nothing. Just the original £4250

Otherwise I'll just put her into storage for 12 months and drive the car :)
