Great film, but surely they could get the Dutch bit right as that was nothing like Dutch.
Did enjoy it though.

Probably couldn't find a native speaker in time
Glad Nolan didn't go all 'Nolan' on it and produce it in Sanskrit

Saw a documentary on Sky about Oppenheimer last night and it was excellent. Complex guy with obvious mental issues, but after what he was responsible for, understandable after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A genius that even Einstein to some degree deferred to. Well worth a watch

It is interesting to think that it is very strongly the case that it finished the war at the time and saved a lot of lives (but also cost).
What is there to say what the impact would be if you did the same to Russia today, it would also save a lot of lives and could end their aggression.

I think the US would like to...but they won't as they'd expect Russia to initiate Global Thermonuclear War (i.e. Mutually Assured Destruction)...and China would come out as the winner.pvr wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 9:05 pm It is interesting to think that it is very strongly the case that it finished the war at the time and saved a lot of lives (but also cost).
