Flaky paint.

Post by BigCheesy » Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:55 pm

Doing the full valet clean job today I like to get right into all the shut lines and seams. I thought it was just accumulated gunge in the boot lid seam but turns out there is a very tiny bit of “flaky” paint. Picture makes it look a lot worse. Never tried scraping to get crap out just corner edge of micro fibre cloth so I’ve never damaged it. Anyone else had a similar issue with any of the paint work. The old Z3 had a warranty job 6 years in with the common boot lid opening button corrosion bubbles. That’s a whole other story. Zed is just over 3 years now certainly don’t want the same issues.

Well you certainly got us all looking. If that is indeed flaky paint then that's a dealer job, bit strange though...

Had me checking mine. I would take that to the dealer and claim on paint warranty.

I have a big service due in September so I’ll have a go then. See what they say.
