BMW Dash Cam

I replaced the Advanced Eye v1 on the car in September 20 because it went kaputt with Advanced Eye 2

Now it’s on the blink - I don’t think that 2 1/2 years is a reasonable lifespan given that it wasn’t cheap!

I’m going into see the dealership tomorrow

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Paid £33 for my latest dash cam with free delivery from Amazon, cracking little unit that does everything I need.

Is it the SD card that has been fried in the sun? If a car is parked in the sun - that heat on electronics is just too much

The unit doesn’t always start recording at start up - nor can I link to view my footage.

As explained to the dealership, I could had got a £30 job rather than the £450 BMW - but i thought I was buying some better quality!

They are going to collect the car and look at the problem and hopefully resolve !

The aftersales guy at my dealer expressed my disappointment to BMW and low and behold they supplied another unit.

Top marks to my local dealership on this occasion

Glad it's sorted Ron, good result.

I remember looking at the BMW camera but ended up having the head up display fitted to the 140i as it was cheaper :)

I've got a Transcend which I swap between cars and had no problems with it. Don't think I've ever viewed any footage from it so it could be rubbish :D

Tim.
