We've been to Wales

Post by Jollyjoiner » Fri Jun 02, 2023 7:08 pm

Well like the title says me and the Mrs have had a Monday to Friday stay in Norrh Wales. We stopped at Aberdunant Hall caravan park near Porthmadog in a pod.
Visited a few places and had a couple of days driving around. One day we drove all the way around Snowdon on some cracking roads and the scenery was amazing.
Yesterday we did a 100 mile round trip to Ruthin which took us on the B5105 which has some lovely bits to it and the B4407 which is up and down a twisting through a valley and was mostly just about a car and half width so you had to be careful with on coming traffic (luckily it's a quiet road). Tried to get the wife to take some pictures while driving to show some of the nice sections of road on the B4407 but she seemed to fail :headbang:

Car ran well again on the 500 miles we did and the weather was clear blue sky nearly every day. Does anyone else keep hearing voices saying "I don't like it, I didn't like" while negotiating some corners from the passenger seat or is it just me Lol.

I used to get a terrible whining when I first got mine, but over the last few years it’s started to calm down
Looks like you had a great time, on a side note how was the pod, we’ve thought about trying one.

The pod was spot on, all depends on what you want from your accommodation, big enough kitchenette and bathroom. Would have been a faff if weather hadn't have been so nice just for sitting about but we did that on the patio because it was warm and dry.

We did camping and caravanning for 20 odd years so used to roughing it and cramped spaces, if the weather’s bad there’s normally a pub that’s not too far.
Was it you at Newby Hall SCITP in May with the little stove and kettle?

Cracking pictures. I love driving in Snowdonia. :driving:  Though I have a habit of abandoning my car and heading up to the summit, whenever I see a good mountain. :D
