We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Great research done!
My Z4 is apparently a 320i and got 564 score.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Yep, you keep believing!
My wife's Mazda got 999
My old 440 got 999
Even my daughter's pile of crap Mini got 656.
God knows what the algorithm is based on! :?

Looks like the algorithm doesn’t like failed MOTs or advisories..they state also that engine issues in MOTs are biasing factors…mileage changes, length of ownership I suspect are other factors..

Obviously it’s primary role is to hook you on their subscriber reports..

Hey Guys!

I noticed we were getting traffic from this forum and wanted to see what was being said. Love all the comments. We use feedback to build our site to be more and more accurate.

Our data for make/model is powered by the DVLA as well as a third party supplier. So apologies for any incorrect vehicle specs. Your score will still be true to the vehicle’s history though.

Any questions or more importantly feedback on how to improve, I’m all ears!

My Name is Nathan and I made this website around 6 months ago, and work on it everyday, so all a work in progress :)

Cheers!

Nathan interesting ‘toy’ ..hope it works for you..I’m reverse engineering your algorithm but I guess you are evolving it anyway..

I see my old TJ Jeep took a hammering with its current owner having a mot fail and advisories?

Looks like the score has been impacted due to health and safety advisories (seatbelt damage). Also the vehicle is almost 20 years old, so it has also been knocked a bit for that. Still a great score!

The algorithm takes into a huge amount of data. I have a database of around 60 million UK vehicles with Mot histories, average mileage, scrapped mileage etc etc. I use all of this to see common patterns with vehicles that deteriorate at a set age, average mileage etc. equally, it will scan a MOT to check if any general big issues have shown up such as Oil leaks, Engine knocking, rust on chassis. Some of which are classed as ‘advisories’ which are actually detrimental to a vehicle’s health.

The website has been designed to allow not so vehicle-educated users understand if a vehicle is good, bad, reliable, all within a simple score. It’s very complicated to get the score absolutely accurate. But it’s getting better and better every week.

So why did my Z4 get a pathetic 564 when it is ultra low mileage, full history and immaculate with no MOT advisories of note?
And my shite Mini which is falling to bits have a score of 656?

NB: not that I give a toss but interested all the same! :)

Can you give me the reg’s so I can check this for you? It depends on so many variables that I could not give you an answer without checking myself.
