Auto will def be preferred but manual would be okay too just have to get the wife used to driving when I’m in the other car.
Have you looked on AT, currently a good choice of private and trade sellers with some nice Coupes if you are happy getting the wife use to a Manual
have been looking on AT this one isn't too far from me https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 5296279016 or this one https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 5077111930 which is also not far from me.

anyone sport anything on either of them on the listing i should be aware of

Iirc that E86 has been flagged, and discussed quite a few times on here. It’s been on sale since 29th of May 2022 so almost a year.

The 35iS looks good, a few toys and mid range stereo, BUT…… for me standard non heated seats would put me off. Living in the U.K. I think heated seats is a must for maximum use and enjoyment of a roadster.

MOT history good but cracked wheel. You’d need to see if repaired or replaced. Early 296’s prone to cracking unfortunately, especially on runflats, which this appears to be.

If everything else checked out and if new seats wanted you were prepared to spend circa £700 for a replacement set and £600 for replacement tyres

G29 M40i Thundernight with Ivory interior, all option packs (here for a while, hopefully )
G29 M40i Misano Blue all option packs (Gone 26k of fun)
E89 35iS, Valencia Orange, Design Pure Traction pack (Gone)
    E89 23i sDrive, Silver (Gone)

As mentioned above that black Coupe has been for sale for quite some time, a chap on here did view it to find that it apparently has no service records, which is a shame as it is one of the last Coupes and appears to have a good spec

Thank you for that - will have to ask the question and see if there is any paperwork of it being repaired/replaced, listing is only 35mins away, so might pop and have a look. Where would i look to get replacement seats? heated seats are always nice to have :)

looking around this morning between work and meetings part of me is leaning towards the S35is but might change as the days/weeks/months of searching for the right one

Definitely worth a look if that close

Seats would just be usual places like forum, eBay, known breakers etc. Forum is also a good place to pick up wheels with tyres if that’s something you’d consider, especially if wheel still damaged. The seats particularly could wait since the summer, cough cough, is nearly upon us so wouldn’t be as crucial in the first instance imo

Since you’re considering a 3.0 E86 as well so obviously happy with that engine if I was you this would be absolutely at the top of my list. It will be immaculately presented, being sold by a really genuine guy, and there won’t be anything on it that needs addressed not done. It also has some very nice upgrades like the new suspension. Would be where my money would be going

Just either teach the Mrs to drive it or don’t let her use it

Thats a great suggestion Andy, TB looks after his cars and I am surprised this one has not shifted already with the option on it and the work done to it
