Anyone familiar? Nissan Micra K12

Attempting to get my mother-in-laws ridiculously low mileage 1.2 petrol K12 Micra on the road again after 6 months. She tells me the new battery keeps draining and I understand they have an issue with this from time to time.
Anyone with experience of these able to provide any checks or pointers? Need to give the car the full once over before getting it MOT’d and cleaned up for sale as she’s given up driving.
