Totally different to anything else on the road today including the stitched interior and I do like shooting brakes / breadvan call what you like. BMW should put into production. Kind of reminds me of the Ferrari GT4C Lusso, that's never a bad thing. :D
The side profile reminds me of a Reliant Scimitar and the baseball stitching is from the mk 1 tt. :headbang:
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

For some reason the Alfa Brera was the first car that sprung to mind until I Googled a pic

Make the most of it I say, in a few years these cars will have all the appeal of a fridge or washing machine without the heart of an engine

I'd buy two, squirrel one away and use the other :)

If they fitted an S65 or S85 engine and a manual gearbox I'd love one - just not in brown.

Yeh with you on this. Manual, full fat M version… I think it looks amazing from the back. Average from the front, and unusual from the side - especially the rear pillar. And physical dials! Bring back tactile switchgear… like Porsche.

Have a feeling they’ll make these for the rich few… but not mass production. I’m sure there’s plenty of collectors out there who’ll want to buy. As for us regular folk… like a few people have said, better options out there - at the price point they’ll most likely sell this at.

I really hope they do, then along with the announcement a selection of trim colours and bodywork colours.

I would really struggle not to sell the coupe and a few others to buy one of these!

Doubt it would cost much more than the Z4 M40i, however I can see it being a low production car.

They could use the B58 with an electric motor for more 'welly' and call it an Alpina (the wheels and they now own the brand and haven't used it so far). Alpina cars have historically used 'tweeked' standard non-S engines. Makes sense to me. That way they can justify a huge asking price and make it fairly easily with little additional costs.

The car looks too 'production' for them to just showcase it as a concept IMO.

Still can't see the point in a two seater estate car. As my old grandad used to say: "it's neither use, nor ornament". :D
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Yeh hope so - price it right with a short production run and I think they’ll send a good few thousand worldwide. just watched the videos on YouTube… I’m sold!

But for me they absolutely have to physical dials and manual shifter. Otherwise for me it kinda misses the ethos of what sports touring is about.
