I love this forum, but speaking from experience it’s not the place to sell cars. I got no interest in my coupe on the forum but sold it the weekend after I placed an Autotrader ad for the full asking price with two buyers lined up. Similar miles and price to yours. £80 well spent IMO. GLWTS.
2003 Maldives Blue 3.0i auto
Previously: Maldives Blue 2.5i manual (its back!) and another, and a Monaco Blue 3.0Si coupe

Me too and conversely I sold a car in less than an hour on here and it wasn't even a Z4!
Right place, right time, right audience. It's all luck of the draw IME.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Your car has been fully paid out by an insurance company, I know what that suggests to me regardless of ‘category’.
I’ll give an example; the infamous Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy, no. 459 ( it well worth a read). This car has a past, not the same as yours but a past… that isn’t recorded as a category…. But, it’s condition and history have question marks over it and as such sold on CC once the history was highlighted, sold for 2/3’s the consensus value at that time.
Your car, lovely as is has questionable history regardless of how you float it and minimise by questioning other cars that may or may not have ‘history’
I’ll ask a simple question…. Your car v one of similar spec, condition, age and price…What car sells ???
Your car has a history through forums like this which will follow it much like the infamous Clio 459.
I don’t see what the issue is here, the OP as you say has been transparent. If the car is not for you that’s fine, there a plenty of other Coupes available
