I hope to climb Mont Blac in the late summer. Have been spending more on kit than I used to on the ///MR

One of my priorities is alot more walking jaunts to get fitter, too many years spend behind a desk

I had a poor experience in a Mercedes dealership a few years ago.
My wife and I arrived in a year old Disco and both of us well dressed - we discussed a new well specced C class but when I asked about an ex demo car as opposed to new, the sales wallah asked me if I could really afford a Mercedes!

He never got the chance to apologise
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Beedub wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 6:58 am arhhhh john, why did you have to post this...... why why why.... ive been ringing round the dealers for the last few weeks trying desperately to get in order on one of these, i think it would be last car purchase, a huge financial undertaking but i could JUST, make it happen..... i have to say it doesn't look particularly great in this shot, but every piece of my yearns for it! Despite buying 4 new porches it seems im not meeting the requirements for this which really sucks. i HATE their waiting list procedure and i genuinely feel these go to their mates where they get some nice kick backs when they sell on for 100k over list, absolutely terrible. Id cherish this thing!
I know mate...! I'm drooling like a blood hound on a rump steak....

Way out of my league right now so not even being close it's just another will never have 'Want' for me. I can imagine your frustration though if one is within reach, you'll get one at some point, but it'll be 2nd hand and north of £180k I'd imagine.
let me be brutally honest, i could scrape it id have to sell all the other cars to make it happen.... use it as marketing exercise for ppf etc and let work help  ... BUT.... it would be a basic spec, and i wouldn't be able to add any extras at all, lol but i could make it work..... but the customer requirements are utterly disgraceful. But the want is so HIGH, that's my dream car in front of my eyes and with the EV revolution this is the end of the road for this type of vehicle and i want IN... who knows in the future but clearly now is not my moment.
I was reading a review last night on Auto express Byron, it said Porsche are not making this a limited run and should still be in production even when the new electric boxsters go on sale in 2025. If true you'll be fine.

Being electric though it begs the question why buy one, wind in the hair? Looks? Sound? All three?

Surely it lacks the latter unless your into milk floats

It's a bit like ripping engines out of classics and fitting an electric motor
