arhhhh john, why did you have to post this...... why why why.... ive been ringing round the dealers for the last few weeks trying desperately to get in order on one of these, i think it would be last car purchase, a huge financial undertaking but i could JUST, make it happen..... i have to say it doesn't look particularly great in this shot, but every piece of my yearns for it! Despite buying 4 new porches it seems im not meeting the requirements for this which really sucks. i HATE their waiting list procedure and i genuinely feel these go to their mates where they get some nice kick backs when they sell on for 100k over list, absolutely terrible. Id cherish this thing!

Exactly. Some of the stories I've heard regarding the requirements to be able to even get on the list for a very expensive car have put me off porkers for good. And then there is the 're-sale' tie in nonsense. Surely that is illegal?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Way out of my league right now so not even being close it's just another will never have 'Want' for me. I can imagine your frustration though if one is within reach, you'll get one at some point, but it'll be 2nd hand and north of £180k I'd imagine.

Don't get me wrong I would love one, it's just all the marketing bull and trying to make the brand into something it shouldn't be with all the exclusivity hype and you have to be a certain customer to even be considered, just find it very off putting as a car brand.
Where do I put my deposit
Tim.

GULP.....
I had this conversation a while ago about the Porsche 'marketing strategy..
I always, always have wanted a 911 ever since I was around 6 years old. I had posters on my wall, my favourite toy model was a white Turbo.
Imagine if I had started saving my pennies then and over the next 45 odd years had put money away into my '911' fund and finally in 2022 I had enough to buy a new 911 of my dreams. I walk into my local dealership with a huge bag full of money and say "I would like to order x car in x colour with x spec please. Here is my deposit and it will be a cash purchase".
The reply would be "your money is no good here and you can't have one"
"But I have saved religiously for 45 years and I have the money!"
"Couldn't give a toss, now f*ck off you are making the place look untidy".
That is why I will now never buy a Porsche (that and the fact that most of their flat sixes are made of chocolate)! Mainly the former though!
