Possibly re-entering the Z4 fold
Probably been almost 10 years since my last post on here when I had and E89 20i. Now looking at a brand new G29 M40i and wondered what the forums feelings were on buying new at the moment?
Deposit is already down and just need to decide if we go for it. Spec is Thundernight with ivory, plus comfort, tech and shadow line packs. Can get almost 4k off list and apr of 4.9% on a PCP. Oh and the car is sat in the showroom and can collect it this week.
Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks in advance all!
Cheers

Well that is the exact same spec as the car I ordered in March and taking delivery on Thursday. Is the one you are interested in at Sytner Tamworth? The discount you have been quoted is pretty much the same as I have achieved, although mine is a cash purchase. 4.9% finance rate looks pretty attractive in the current climate. The initial hit in depreciation will be horrendous but I specifically wanted Thundernight and I wanted the car now rather than waiting a few months for an ex demo to become available.

It is sat with Dick Lovett in Swindon, apparently it only went into their showroom on Saturday morning and I swung by to test drive a used M4 competition in the afternoon. Didn’t really do it for me (currently also drive a Tesla which has just as silly ability for speed) and my wife instantly fell in love with the Z4. She is the actual buyer as I’m sticking with my Tesla - been spoiled by the sheer torque and speed of the thing…Boyo wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 4:31 pm Well that is the exact same spec as the car I ordered in March and taking delivery on Thursday. Could wait for ex demos to come online but as she is a finance buyer I doubt the current rate on offer would be achievable second hand and the monthlies would probably end up being more. Think she is going to go for it… almost decided.

Currently values are holding high.
If it’s what you want…..go for it. I love my m40i

I'd never advise buying used on finance against buying new on finance. The charges are always much higher and even if the initial depreciation is gone, it costs you more to buy it. Can't beat the feeling of a brand new car
