2009 BMW E89 35i DCT, 79k miles, £12k

Post by Beeacon » Sat Apr 29, 2023 3:51 pm

After 5 years of smile-filled ownership I am begrudgingly selling my Zed. I’m only moving this on as I am in need of something with more seats now that my family has grown, which is why I’m listing it for sale (apparently, I can’t just get a tow bar and trailer and fix the car seat to it, and I’ve been labelled ‘a mad man’ and ‘irresponsible’. Where is her sense of adventure?).
The car has 79k miles, fantastic spec (I think missing only heated steering wheel and comfort access, full spec listed in the 2nd link), and with the smart top module sorting most of the functionality minus keyless entry. The car will come with the front and rear dashcam, footage is too large to post as an attachment and would have to be sent by email.
The car’s history is superb, I have documented everything from the past 5 years, along with the previous forum owner’s 2 year history, a testament to selling on a forum as you get all the knowledge that comes with it. The following posts show this off in detail:
My ownership history: viewtopic.php?t=107654
Previous owner’s info: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=94123

The car has been stored outdoors but thoroughly pampered (Car wash routine: viewtopic.php?p=1629566#p1629566 ). It received a Stage 2 detail and ceramic coat when I bought it from Laine in 2017 and a Stage 1 detail and ceramic coat last year. It looks stunning in the metal but has a couple of small stone chips in the nose due to the age.
In my ownership I have been running the car on summer wheels and tyres for ¾ of the year, and winter wheels and tyres from December through February, I’ll include the spare wheels with the car sale as they’re not likely to fit on my next boring-mobile.
The car comes with a Bovee Tune2air adapter, so if you have an iPhone you can Bluetooth music to the car and use the steering wheel stalk multimedia functions. The private license plate will be removed from the car and original plates put back on.
Service history: viewtopic.php?p=1610367#p1610367
Happy for you to try the car if you have comprehensive insurance, or cash in my hands, or I can take you for a drive.
Happy to field any questions via message or under the thread.

I’d love for this to remain a forum car, the forum has been a fantastic source of information for me, and it would be great to keep the history going!

Price 12k.

DSB is my favourite colour on an E89. Looks a real cracker and is sensibly priced

You need three posts before you can send a pm.

Yeah looks like I'm above that...

It seems to allow me to send it, but then stays in my outbox and doesn't show in my 'sent' messages...

That means the recipient hasn't read it..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is
