Post by john-e89 » Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:03 pm

Bed ridden with my 3rd dose....pretty enevitable really with Claife running 3 separate choirs and seeing about 150 folk a week. Damn nasty virus I must say, glad I'm vaccined up.

How is anyone else doing...? It's obvs become normal life but interesting to hear if anyone's getting it a lot.

Please don't start a vaccine row...! I'll delete the thread if it happens...

Another bout of Covid, how's others doing..?

The wife’s had it but I locked her in a bedroom for 10 days and fed her on pancakes and pizzas because that’s all I could get under the door.
I didn’t get it but there again I don’t mix much with people, prefer the company of dogs.
Hope you feel better soon 👍

I got it a second time last September and was rough as hell. Even with the vaccine. Probably as bad as when I caught it before the vaccine.
3-4 days on the sofa couldnt eat properly, lethargic, aching body.

I'm wondering at this point John, what it would take to actually finish you off!
You were DEFINITELY a cat in a former life. You're a miracle of human science!

Never had Covid. Spent three years keeping as far away from people as possible.
Now have serious depression, anxiety, fear of crowded places, etc.

So it's all working out swimmingly!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

To be honest, I don't really hear about it anymore and touch wood, never had it.

Certain ways have changed, like using hand sanitisers a lot more when dealing with people and never going in the tube (or London full stop really).

I thought about ringing in sick but I'd just roll my eyes and tell myself off for making it up to go fishing for the day or something instead....

With your health record John you would need a mortgage to pay for holiday insurance if you went abroad, :D

Always washing hands, especially after touching post and parcels, sanitising everything touched by someone else outside the family and have a feeling of germs floating about everywhere inside shops. :headbang: Not nice.
