Ermmmm….roof issue…
Almost dare not ask….
Clam shell won’t close, rest of the roof is fine, closes fine, it’s not a relay as you can hear the pump running so I’m guessing it’s this hall sensor, can anyone confirm please..?
I thank you.

When roof stopped in that position on my car, it was the connector to the hall switch on the right side ram.
Just pulled apart, no barb to hold it locked.-

Just for info this was indeed the hall sensor I showed. Thanks to flybobbie though for the other problem area it could have been, all good info.

How did you manage to sort it then John, was it something that can be temporary repaired at the roadside or was it a case of trying a new sensor ?

It was just a sticky switch Nige, it has a long travel with a spring to pull it shut, flick it fully open a few times and bingo. Will need a new one at some point soon though I'm sure.Jollyjoiner wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 7:37 pmHow did you manage to sort it then John, was it something that can be temporary repaired at the roadside or was it a case of trying a new sensor ?

Sounds like it was a microswitch rather than a hall sensor John?

I had the same issue with mine and as Rob has advised it was a microswitch, pretty cheap and I believe easy enough to sort if you are semi competent (I'm not so it went to a garage) - ok it was under warrantySmartbear wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 12:03 pmjohn-e89 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:17 amIt was just a sticky switch Nige, it has a long travel with a spring to pull it shut, flick it fully open a few times and bingo.
