Z4 3.0si Subframe advice - Help
Hi Guys
Help needed
Part 33306776593 was found on the following vehicles:
Z4 E85 (10/2004 — 08/2008)
Z4 E86 (10/2005 — 08/2008)
Does anyone know if other Z4 subframes can be used on the Z4 3.0 si, Real OEM states that the above is solely for the Si version.
Look forward to hearing from anyone with help/advice

I don't know if this will help but at the bottom, it implies that 2004 onwards will fit.

I am pretty sure on the 3.0si it is a bespoke subframe so I would be surprised if any others fitted and worked .
Montego Blue E86 . MILV`s . Simpson Custom Manifold Race Exhaust . xHP transmission stage 3 . VT engine mounts . BC RA coilovers . H&R arbs . Adjustable rear camber arms . Ultra Racing front strut brace . Drexler LSD .

I was surprised that they'd have different carriers so I thought I'd have a play with RealOEM and it does very specifically differentiate between the 3.0si and everything else, even the straight N52 3.0i.
Presumably the diff is larger on the 3.0si.

I have an Si subframe next to a normal subframe in my unit at the moment, some very subtle changes might be worth me taking some measurements.

So I pulled up both subframes next to each other. Grey subframe is from an Si and the rusty one from a 2.5i. I’ve measured between the bush hole centres and they’re the same. Also bush size is the same. Roll bar mountings are the same, my last thing to check is the weight like with Z3’s the subframes internally had strengthening braces so if I weight these two subframes and see how much they differ, I’ll need to remove the big bushes to make it closer.
Interested to see where this goes, found this alot on Z3’s parts are actually the same between models but have different part numbers, I had a friend in BMW unofficially confirm this.

Hi Joycey
Thanks for the info, how did you treat the grey subframe
I brought one from the US today for $100, but extra $250 for shipping, off a car with under 45,000 on the clock

It will as I always thought that they were different . If they are the same that makes finding a "spare" much easier
