Anyone attempt this coolant hose flange replacement? There's a few warnings out there to do this before the plastic one disintegrates... How common is that and is this worth the $28 USD + coolant top off?

No one? I guess I'll just add it to my planned Fall 2023 cooling upgrades/preventatives and share the experience.
