Scraped my zed couple of days ago and looking for quotes, came back with between £220.00 and £400.00 plus vat. Is this reasonable ‘cause I’m on the brink of getting out the filler and rattle cans.

I paid £300 for a full bumper respray to put it in perspective. No damage though, just stone chips.

That price would be a full Bumper respray probably.

Get a SMART repairer to look at it, not a bodyshop. It’ll be much cheaper and a good smart repair is much better that a crap bodyshop job.
Alternatively, if you have typical Z4 stone chips all over your bumper, you may be better off getting a proper repair and full respray done on it.

There are no more than 2 or 3 chips, I think a previous owner on here had it done. I'm getting a smart quote, just waiting now.Zedebee wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 7:00 pm Get a SMART repairer to look at it, not a bodyshop. It's Sterling Grey, on a 19 year old car is it really worth the expense?

Yes I keep looking at it and thinking, 'I used to do these things myself years ago' I agree that yes give it a go and if crap get it done properly but is it going to notice down there anyway.

As a SMART Repairer I’d charge £150 to repair and paint that corner and blending into existing colour/Lacquer

A couple of hours of your own time to remove and strip it then refit afterwards should bring that price down a bit. It’s not a difficult job

Would that include the travel to deepest, darkest Devon?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Possibly, but then you get there and remember he moved to Yorkshire.
Do try to keep up at the back.
