Lowering and using spacers

Post by Sam4090 » Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:42 pm

One of the first changes I’m thinking of making to my newly acquired 3.0si e86 coupe is lowering it and adding spacers. I intend on using the car for a daily driver, so I’m opting for a setup which is good for everyday use but that I can also have a bit of fun with.

Just wondering what the best way to lower the car would be? I believe the car is still sitting on the Standard msport suspension. Also I’m aware that there seems to be mixed opinions surrounding the use of spacers, so I’d be interested to hear some thoughts on them if possible. I was thinking maybe 20mm at the rear and 15mm at the front?

Thanks a lot for any advice and any further suggestions for changes to the car would be much appreciated.

I ran a Bilstein B12 kit with 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers with no issues.
