Anti Roll Bar Replacement

Post by tiglon » Tue Mar 21, 2023 8:26 am

I'm looking at putting H&R anti roll bars on my e89, it strikes me as a fairly simple job that could be done on axle stands, but I can't find a write up or video... am I right?

I replaced the std. bushes with poly bushes, the hard part, so that was done with stands. Can't see it's any more difficult.

Did you get much benefit from that? Might be worth doing at the same time....

Well i convinced myself it was better, but mainly done to try to remove a bumping noise rear axle, which was cured by rotating a rear spring.

The H&R ARBs come with fresh bushes..it will make a difference in the way a LSD does…it just corners better without being obvious..

You do get some ‘bump steer’ over bad bumps as you are limiting the degree of autonomy of each wheel more so..inherent in what an ARB does..

Any thoughts on whether it's worth doing the drop link bushes at the same time?
