Hi All
Nice day today so did the Gummi Pflege thing on all the rubbers and a couple more minor bits.
Cleaned the exhaust tips as they were looking a bit gummed up, looking into the exhaust I noticed the flap was in the closed position so I started the car but nothing happened even tried the Comfort/Sports Mode but still no movement should this be in the open postition on starting or closed?
I think I may have a seized/stuck valve flap (Deep Joy)

General Maintenance
My understanding of the valve (at least on my 35is):
Car off - valve open
Starting - open for 30 seconds, then closed (most modes)
Once running - depends on mode / revs.
Default mode without vaccuum is open - it gets sucked closed by the vac tube.
Nice thread title BTW - super clear what this is all about

Morning All
Well got round to looking at this and it seems its not working correctly so could I ask the experts were does the vaccuum supply come from need to trace this back to the source and just by anychance has anyone ever replaced the valve unit attached to the exhaust?
The exhaust sounds nice and sporty when the engine has warmed up not so much from cold.
Thanks
Dave
