No fake 355 kit going on this no.... :lol
Had a black turbo jap import for a couple of years, loved it but starting a family took care of that. One of my favourite cars :driving:

Sold it to a guy in Leeds, G459 SGT was the plate but when you do a history check it says red, always wondered what happened to it maybe 355 kit  Not taxed since 2002 so guessing it's tin cans by now

Yep I'm afraid the turbo cars especially were susceptible to the backward cap wearing brigade that loved to stick plastic scoops, flares, kits of all kinds on them, boost and everything they could wire up gauges thrown all over the dash, then couldn't afford to look after them, and so as you say they ended up in skips or put on the bay with lashings of fresh rattle can paint covering the rust for ridiculously optimistic prices....such a shame really.

I have owned four MR2 SW20s, brilliant cars. Great 2.0 litre engine which partly due to the shape of the car was quite economical. I was slightly tempted by the mark version 3, not as good perhaps but prices will go up due to their rarity.

That thought makes me sad  , only visible upgrade I made was changing the alloys from the original 14" to the OEM 15", other that that the CAT was removed as it wasn't a legal requirement in the UK for a 1990 car.

Me and mate from work were given a budget to go get company cars.
Bowled into Toyota and asked for 2 GT-T-Bars. Was told had a 6 month wait.
So we took 2 brand new Celica's :D
Would have been Ca. 1991

Edit: Picture massive and on it's head.

Tbh you we're better off with Celica's in '91 Nally. That vintage MR2 had only a 119bhp engine but more importantly had the first revision rear suspension that was more happy throwing you into the scenery than driving straight, it was this overly tail happy attribute that made Toyota revise the rear suspension tie bar pick up points, spring and damper rates, it was a bit nasty as was.

Nice. Always had a soft spot for mk2's. The revision 3 turbos imported from Japan gave pretty insane performance at the time.

I am willing to be shot down and abused (no change there) but all I see is an, albeit low mileage, old Toyota. Not even a 'rice rocket'.
Never 'got' the MR2 thing TBH.

But, hey, ETTO! If it makes you happy John-boy good on ya!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Lovely

Never owned the MK2 but loved the MK1, wished I still had it.

Jumped to the MK3 and got rid after a few weeks, just didn't gel with it :(
