Differences between S430A vs S430

Post by B21 » Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:40 pm

These codes are generic across many models…AFAIK the E89 only used the 430 variant

The same code with or without the A suffix means physical and functionally different variations across models and time

eg 676 and 677 audio systems are not the same in the E89 and day E90

The E89 340 states

Exterior mirrors – folding, automatically dimming Electrically foldable exterior mirrors with automatic dimming. Includes automatically diming rear-view mirror and a key-dependent memory function for exterior mirrors.
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Differences between S430A vs S430

Oooo, only just spotted this.

To the best of my knowledge, this is how I understand it......

When looking at the VO code list all codes are written as.....S430A, ie all with the A at the end.
Whereas when inputting a new code into the Vehicle Order during coding you'd input.... $430

So as far as I know there is no difference between 430A and 430 as they are the same, just different ways some have written it.
