I have 2 keys, both keys start the engine with no problem but only one fob remotely locks/unlocks the doors.
I assumed one of the batteries was shot so ordered 2 new ones.
Just before starting to de solder the old battery I thought I would check the voltage, sure enough it is 2.98vdc, so fully charged, just the same as the both new batteries.
I have tried to reset/reprogram the keys but it does nothing to the non working fob.
Does this mean the whole key is shot and I have to get a new one?
Thanks

One of two fobs not working
I used these guys, you send them the key, they fix it and send it back all within about 4 days. For £17 I was very impressed.
