E86 Front fog lamp removal

Judging by utube videos the front bumper looks quite easy to remove so I'll probably go that route..................famous last words

Have new brackets at the ready, they will most likely snap if not already broken.

I really would not go for the bumper removal route, also because new brackets do not come for free.

Just jack up the car, remove the wheel, so you have all the space needed:

Remove a single Torx 25 on the outside:

Two on the inside:

When opting for Magnetti Marelli's make sure you keep the tiny metal lip:

Re-mount your new light in reverse order and enjoy the difference (left = new):

An easy option, which I did, was to get some dark tinting film to cover the lenses.
It's cheap, masks the mess and still allows the lights to be somewhat useful.

Top marks Mau, that's a great guide! Maybe you could add it to the how-to section, as I'm sure others would be interested.

Thanks for the guide. I've just recently taken mine off, given them a bit of a clean up and refitted. However, one of the tiny metal lips you highlighted here has gone missing. Does anyone know where I can get another one? I've no idea what to search for.

Sure, no worries. Will do so if I find a spare moment.
