E89 Adaptive rear Shocks only - £50

Post by True-Blue » Sat Jan 28, 2023 9:34 am

EDIT - Forgot I still had these then noticed them when having a sort out the other day :headbang:

Adaptive rear shock absorbers from my previous E89

Passed the MOT in December 2022 and appeared to be working fine on the car, no evidence of leaks.

Now I have them off they seem to have limited resistance, so don’t know if they’re goosed or if adaptive shocks work differently when there’s no power to them?

In any case, if your own rear shocks are leaking, you could send these off for refurbishment and remain mobile, and sell the units on your own car on the same basis afterwards.

They’re dated 2010

Open to offers but let’s say’s £50 as a starting point.

Look in a lot better condition than mine did when I pulled mine
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

They were replaced at some point after 09/11/20 (per the date on the later strut) as the previous set were reported on an earlier MOT.

Done under 10k miles, so many miles life left in them

Thought I’d add that I also have the rears, which can be included. Haven’t checked the dates on these yet, but not leaking oil at all. May well be the originals, although the top mounts looked in great condition (I replaced the top mounts in my car as a matter of course anyway).

Could also courier

Would be interested in the rears if you are willing to split.

Hi, yes I’m happy to let them go, but not as a freebie as they make the ‘package’ more attractive

Ok, so the rears are the originals dated 2010, I refer to my comments in the edited opening post;

I still have the boxes from the Bilsteins that have gone on, so could package them in those I think.

Do you want to PM me a postcode and house number so I can look at what courier costs would be.

Can’t really firm up on a price until I know what the courier costs are.
