Latest idea of mine. I've been looking at old XJS cabs for a bit of resto, if I can free space in the garage.
Ordered the TIG welder already!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

That could turn into quite a project!

But I thought it was a V8 itch you had? Maybe Merc SL - you'd still need the welder.

I was looking at a really nice 2004 SL500 going in an auction in King's Lynn next week. Then I researched the amount of problems they have; none of which are DIY or cheap. So that is off the menu.

I've never even really liked Jaaags but the numbers could be in my price range. :D
I do remember 'The Saint' had a white XJS when I was a small child and I did like it, though.

I think a lot, mate. Unfortunately most of the thoughts are not very sensible. :(
I usually think while eating hundreds and thousands (around the 'Ring). :P

Yes I edited Roger out as it may have been the later (day) Saint. Ian Ogilvy I think! :)

There must be some XJS lovers on here, considering how old and crusty most are, no? :poke:
I'm just a youngster, comparatively, and I like the idea.

I didn't like them at the time, but they've grown on me as time has gone by.

Still a bit too wafty for my taste, but when I'm even older who knows?

Although I think the XK8 looks better!

My sister had an XKR about 15 years ago. It spent more time on a recovery truck than on the road, so XKs are out for me. :(

Return of the Saint had one of the best TV theme tunes ever. However, I watched some of an episode the other month with a bit of a chase scene going on and the XJS behaved like a jelly on a bucking bronco that'd had a chilli rectally inserted.

Cool looking cars tho.
