Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Finally after hours of trying, the stubborn seat rail has finally been removed, all without cutting through the bolt. Fellow forum member chemical.equal (thanks again)
Happy to help matey. Look forward to seeing the new m sport seats!

Cheers. Not ideal using a grinder inside a car…..needs must sometimes.

How are those coilovers? Good or crap?

The front shocks do not fit in a Z4 knuckle. God knows what they fit, as they are identical to the ones on the MaXPeeding website for Z4. No other information or adaptors available. Anyhow I got hold of a good set of OEM parts on here instead and sold the car, so they are still on the shelf.

I can see you used plenty of protection on the carpet, trim etc.
Got to ask though, how many burn holes in the headlining?

Think I may have put the roof down first, being a bit paranoid!

OP was equally paranoid about reconnecting his battery. Horses for courses.

Hopefully fitting them tomorrow as Ive has to wait for the seat occupancy bypass. Thought it would be less fiddly to do outside of the car.

None at all from what I can see :) Didn't want to risk any airbags going off or fault codes by reconnecting the battery

Yeah of course, what was I thinking. :headbang:
Could have done it manually but sods law the bypass valve would stick then.

I'm not fully convinced the manual release works on my car either. Thankfully all was well, I was overdue a bit of luck

They sports seats are officially in! Yet to take them on a trst drive but if they feel as good as they look then I'll have no complaints.

Thanks again everyone for your advice, it's been a journey (this is the 70th post on the thread!) But we finally got there. Hope to see you all in real life at some point! Maybe ace cafe?

Stunning and they make the cabin feel so much nicer. Worth all the hard work

The sports seats look beautiful mate. Well worth the effort. I think it feels far more rewarding when something is a battle. Makes you appreciate what you have done more.

I was very tempted to post in your for sale thread but it wouldn't be fair to derail it.
