oil cooler thermostat for S54

Does anyone know at what temp the oil cooler thermostat opens for an S54?
My oil cooler has been off for the last few months while doing work, it's back on the car now but completely empty and because it's cold here, so far I haven't been able to get the oil warmed up to the point where the thermostat opens and fills it up.

Not sure what the capacity is for the cooler and how much extra oil I should top up with to compensate for the drop.
