Lanoguard….anybody used this stuff?

Post by B21 » Wed Jan 11, 2023 12:14 pm

I noticed minor corrosion on a number of underbody components now I have the joy of easily grovelling under my car with the hydraulic lift and garage complex..

Pondered about Lanoguard…seems to be very few independent reviews of it…

Not a big fan of the ‘tarry’ type alternatives …

Anybody got practical use on an E85/E89?

We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is

I've been looking at some bilt hamber products too. Mainly the Dynax UB and Atom-mac. I'm a fan of bilt hamber products as whatever I've used has always been good. I'm preparing by buying a cheap chassis cleaner to attach to the pressure washer. Hopefully it aids preparation.

yes - its great stuff and very easy to use.
Mainly used for my old Land Rover and apply every 12-18 months. Just a matter of a good pressure wash, thoroughly dry then spray on. Forms a good wax jacket, best to leave 48 hours before using though I find to give it time to harden.
Doesnt cure rust but seals and stops getting worse. much better than wax oyl thats horrible to apply and cracks over time.

I've been on the old youtubes, there seems to be a lot of love for the lanolin products, lanoguard included. I was quite convinced I was going to use bilt hamber products in the summer, but now my mind may have been swayed by the lanoguard type products. I'm pleasantly surprised by how good they are.
