Nearly got backed into by some idiot driving a Renault snotbox in a carpark today.
Entered a relatively full carpark aiming for the back where no-one parks, you know; cos it's too far away for most to walk, but for me ideal as the likelihood of someone parking next to you and doordinging is mitigated.
Anyway, said idiot was noticed as I was passing them and when their reversing lights lit up. I increased speed as a reflex action when passing them and sure enough the dummy just reversed out of her space at speed, almost as though checking for pedestrians/cars in her path wasn't part of her responsibility matrix.
She missed me literally by microns. I stopped and remonstrated, only to be met by a tirade of middle-eastern jibber jabber and gesticulations, almost as though protesting that I shouldn't have been in her way. Unbelievable.
That was when I noticed the condition of her snotwagon; there didn't seem to be a single bodypanel that wasn't dinged or scraped.
How do these f*ckwits obtain a license in the first place?
The lesson from today: never drive into a full carpark, especially when said carpark is frequented by a certain demographic.
Racist? Fk that in it's left ear.

I don't think it's a racist comment — she's probably the same race as you.
But the fact you avoided her was down to your commendable observation. Parking in supermarket car parks frightens the life out of me.

Lesson No.1 - Avoid all car parks at this time of year.
Lesson No.2 - Accept there are people out there who see their 4 wheels as purely an A to B tool and nothing more.
Lesson No.3 - Accept everyone is out to kill you, or should that be Lesson No.1
Tim.

I have no idea why in a 500 space car park with 30 cars in someone always parks next to a car - drives me insane

That's one of the reasons that I always do my shopping at 7:45am when the car park is almost emptySV8Predator wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 10:28 pm

Just back from Tesco. Never seen it so rammed full. I was happy to get out unscathed. Only takes one idiot to spoil your day.

I owned a driving school for a number of years. Nothing focuses a students mind more than finding the most expensive car in the car park and then getting them to park next to it. Used to worry the owners though when they came back to find a learner had parked next to them....especially when they had gone out of their way to park in the 'far reaches' of the car park to avoid anyone parking next to them.Ole gits rule wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 2:37 pm I have node why in a 500 space car park with 30 cars in someone always parks next to a car - drives me insane

I has a woman ding the DS on the 23rd, I was 20 yards away and saw her hit the door with hers (911), she just started to walk away, but the keyless door kicked in a the car unlocked - she soon stopped, thankfully there was no damage but she was off without so much as a thought for any possible damage to the carsMr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 10:39 pmI often have the same problem - my car seems to be a tw*t-magnet.Ole gits rule wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 2:37 pm I have node why in a 500 space car park with 30 cars in someone always parks next to a car - drives me insane
