Just realised from driving the car last night front offside wheel hot, disc very hot the caliper is not working after not using the car for two weeks. Is it a new caliper required or will it free off and can be lubed ?

It's easy enough to refurb a caliper with new seals, but new ones are cheap.

There are 2 guide pins that let the caliper self adjust, one or both are probably locked up. Easy to fix, remove the caliper, hang it with wire from the spring so there is no weight on the brake hose, remove the pins and clean them up, remove all of the old grease and restore.
You may have to replace the rubber/plastic bushing that holds the pin.
