Furniture Clinic Lather Repair

Post by T_J_G » Wed Nov 30, 2022 6:14 pm

I'd like to get my seat sorted on my E85. I've followed suggestions to look at Furniture Clinic. However, there are so many choices as to what to buy, I was looking at the following:

https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leath ... pair-paint

Would this sort the issue in the picture below?

Thanks in advance

I've used furniture clinic several times. All you have there is colour loss, no actual damage.
You'll be surprised just how well it comes up.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

I’m quite happy to use them - will the link above do the job?

I bought one of their 'kits' which has black "re-colouring balm", leather care cream and some applicator sponges and a buffer in it. Around £25 IIRC.
My driver's bolster was the same as yours looks and it sorted it completely. Makes it easier being black!
Just make sure the dye is fully dry before buffing it or sitting on it, or you will ruin your clothes. Ask me how I know? :D
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

I will do - I think I'm going to go with the link above - as it's a specific colour for my leather seats.

Following this thread I’ve contacted them to see if they have the ivory white colour available for the exclusive nappa LZEW that our car has. I’ve only a couple of scratches but it would be great to bring it back to life.
This forum just keeps on giving

Received today, incredible stuff. Easy to apply and dry off with hair dryer. I'm astounded by the results. I'm going to do all of the seats when weather isn't so cold!

My interest is not for my car seats but our sofa. Just some wear showing where my head usually rests.

Good results. Pleased for you

Good stuff, eh?
Being black does make it easier to blend or 'colour match' TBH. IME it doesn't last forever, though, so keep the bottle. :D
