Greetings from Phuket, Thailand, we've owned our Z4 3.0i for 3 months, love driving yhe car though we've had a few teething problems with the roof blowing fuses which is now fixed, I think the battery is on the way out, it has struggled to turn the engine over a couple of times, audio cuts out after 10 minutes if engine isn't running + no air con, lastly, boot release has a mind of its own, sometimes have 2 stop engine and remove the key b4 it works!?!?🤔🤔

Looking to learn, have a great day!🙂

Hello and welcome to the forum, glad you are enjoying the Z4, the battery can cause all kinds of problems so I’d look at getting that changed ASAP, it’s probably a bad connection or broken wire giving you problems with the boot opening.
It would be nice to see a photo of your Zed as well, we love photos on here :D

Hi, many thanks for your reply, much appreciated🙂 The boot area was rewired and a new fuse box added, reckon I will change the battery as you recommend.

Enjoy the pics🙂

Welcome…as Chippie said you need to get a fresh AGM battery ..and maybe a decent charger if you don’t use it much ..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard..

Welcome, that's a very nice set of wheels you have there. You will certainly get access to plenty of advice on the forum, some may be bad such as replacing the aerial for a stubby, but just ignore those. There are a lot of real experts who are only too willing to help.

PS One of my favourite places in the world is Phuket, especially around Kata, Karon and Bang Tao.

Hi and welcome to the forum, nice looking car, even nicer with a stubby aerial  :poke:
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.
