In terms of £££££ what would the costs be to make it 100%?

Just to play devils advocate, and taking into consideration the slowing / niche market for these cars, is 23k a realistic price for a cat C car. I know it’s rare being white but you may have more luck dropping the price a few K to reflect market values?

It's already been said about the time and effort to strip the car to sell bits and pieces over what could be months and you may never get rid of it all.
If breaking do you expect to raise more than 23k to make it worth your while?
I have no idea how much uoy could raise from breaking it but I wouldn't have thought as much as that.

Can you not auction this with a reserve?

It’s a beautiful car, would be a shame to break.
As others have said, the time required and projected sales may not be worth it in the end.

Set a reasonable reserve and move it on. :driving:
(Or keep it!)

One of the nicest ones I have seen.

Not sure what you mean bud? On the sale of £23k it would be 100%

Thanks for the comments guys

It just boils down to the fact that I wouldn’t sell it personally for less then 23k it could be worth 5k on the market and I’d still be asking for 23k like previously stated it’s there as an option if somebody decided it was for them being extremely rare. But apart from that i will be going ahead on the 15th or there abouts regardless

I’m not really looking to trigger or to start a discussion on the valve of it either or the cost effectiveness of breaking it as this is on a parts thread so just looking to keep this for that purpose, would be great

I do appreciate the comments tho I’m sure I could set a m specific thread away if wanted to debated the market valve effect of a cat C or effort in breaking it ….or anything else relating to the car

Thanks

Hey Resto
I was hoping that you would've changed your mind and kept it. But as Bobby Brown says " it's your prerogative, you do what you wanna do ".
Good luck mate

These things are always worth whatever a buyer is prepared to shell out of course, but £23k feels punchy for category car - even if it is white and ‘100%’
Hope you manage to get over the pain of separation and make some decent £’s on parting her put.

Seems criminal to break a decent shell/car, though I can understand your reasons for doing so.

Might be worth listing any non standard parts and the options/spec/interior.

Assuming the following are in excellent condition, I might be interested in these parts

Rear hatch glass-if it’s factory tinted, mint and can be separated from the boot
Interior carbon leather pieces-if that’s what you have
Drivers side door handle insert (silver) if it’s mint
Interior knee pad-I think passenger side but will confirm
Central bulkhead cover-above the opening where the cd/nav is stored and between the seatbelts. Hard to describe!
Front bumper corner shrouds-again, hard to describe

I’d honestly rather see this car kept together but to be honest, I think you’ll struggle to get 23k. Best of luck though :)

I'd be interested in the plastic part that protects the underside of the front bumper (but assume this would be going with the bumper itself), and also the post-cat o2 sensors, cheers

Hi Resto,
Sorry to see about your dilemma- I can understand your pain as in AW they are absolutely stunning in the metal, photos don’t seem to do AW justice… out of interest where did you see that there are only 11 AW MC’s. I know there were 18 originally and 1 was shipped over to NZ and 1 was maybe written off (from forum posts)..? Might be interested in spares when you post up them up if you don’t sell it as is.
Cheers

Cracking looking car I prefer these to the soft top…

I don’t get how the sale price is £23k or break…. Surly a lower sale price is better than breaking?

Hope it all works out either way
