    Ok... definitely can you please put Charlie and I down for this one - probably wont stay the Sunday night though as will need to get back for School Monday. I have spoke to Andy and will take one of his rooms and he will cancel the sunday evening booking

    Please excuse a non participant butting in but if you hang a right at Carmarthen on to the A48 and head towards Brynamman you can head back towards the A40 on the A4069. What a road, probably worth a couple of goes. Look it up on the tube. :D :driving: :D

    As Nick W says ,the A4069 is the black mountain rd i told you about ,well worth a drive over it ,and back :driving:

    Take care if you are driving spiritedly. The A4069 has for years been 40 mph limit along its entirety, and patrols are frequent.

    Thanks guys..I was hoping mid wales would be quieter, with less speed cameras and patrols than North Wales…may have to stick to promulgated speed limits….sob… :tumbleweed:

    Mid Wales is indeed much quieter than the north and south - but the Black Mountain Pass is firmly in the south (Brecon Beacons). Still worth it though even at 40 mph.
