Post by colb » Sat Nov 12, 2022 12:12 pm

Found this on Youtube, simple testing method very good guide using live data on a scanner to confirm lean and rich conditions are being performed by the sensor by forcing them into rich and lean conditions.

Testing Oxygen Sensors

Post by Zulu4 » Sun Nov 13, 2022 7:41 pm

I was wondering how this is actually testing the sensor and not just sending a 0v or 1v signal to the ECU in order for it to then adjust the fuel trim to min or max. Surely the only way to test an oxygen sensor is to vary the oxygen content and see what it does.

I read some of the youtube comments and others are wondering this too.

Is he actually testing the sensor or is he confused (like me) ? One of us is having a Joe Biden moment.
